to the Pavo Civic Club
Mrs. Ruby Lee's love of quilting will always be a part of our community. The Peacock Quilters carry on the tradition by donating a Peacock Quilt each year. For 25 years the Pavo Civic Club has sponsored the Pavo Peacock Festival which is always held on the 2nd Saturday in May at the Peacock Center (old Pavo School grounds) on McDonald Street. There will be lots of food, arts and crafts, parade and children’s activities. Join us for a wonderful day of family fun. We are excited to announce that for the very first time we will auction a beautiful King-sized Peacock Quilt in addition to the Peacock quilt we always raffle. Both quilts are made with top quality 100% cotton and batting.The auction quilt is in traditional peacock colors of black, turquoise, royal blue and gold and fabric and batting of top quality 100% cotton. The starting bid will be $300.00 and we hope to raise lots of money to help support the activities of the Civic Club. 2012 Peacock Quilt to be auctioned of May 12, 2012 following the parade (approximately 12 noon).Bids can be phoned in during auction by calling 229-319-2014. You do not have to be present to win. The Pavo Peacock Quilters make a beautiful quilt each year. This year the Peacock is sitting on the shore overlooking a tropical paradise.
